Electronic Archiving

1. Long-Term Digital Preservation (LOCKSS & CLOCKSS)

Jurnal Farmasi Indonesia is committed to maintaining the security, integrity, and long-term accessibility of all published scholarly articles. To ensure continuous preservation and permanent access for future generations, this journal utilizes both the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries.

  • LOCKSS System:

    Jurnal Farmasi Indonesia utilizes the LOCKSS system to store and distribute journal content at participating libraries via a LOCKSS Publisher Manifest page. A LOCKSS license appears in About the Journal under Archiving: LOCKSS License. This permits participating libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

  • CLOCKSS System:

    Jurnal Farmasi Indonesia utilizes the CLOCKSS system to store and distribute journal content at participating libraries via a CLOCKSS Publisher Manifest page. A CLOCKSS license appears in About the Journal under Archiving: CLOCKSS License. In the event that content is no longer available from the journal's platform, CLOCKSS ensures long-term open access to preserved materials.

Through these preservation networks, all published content, metadata, and full-text PDF files are safeguarded against server disruptions, hardware failures, and long-term technological obsolescence.

2. Author Self-Archiving and Repository Policy

Jurnal Farmasi Indonesia fully embraces Open Science principles and strongly recommends authors to self-archive their scholarly manuscripts. Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit their work across the following publication stages:

  • Pre-print Version (Submitted Version):

    Authors are permitted to deposit their initial preprint manuscript prior to peer review onto recognized non-commercial preprint servers (such as bioRxiv, medRxiv, or institutional preprint archives) at any time.

  • Post-print Version (Accepted Version):

    Authors may deposit the accepted version of the manuscript (the final peer-reviewed version following revisions, prior to publisher copyediting and layout typesetting) in their institutional or subject-based repositories.

  • Version of Record (Final Publisher's PDF):

    Authors are strongly encouraged to deposit and share the final, published PDF version (featuring official branding, volume, issue, page numbers, and DOI) immediately upon publication in:

    • Institutional / university repositories;

    • Personal academic websites / research group pages;

    • Academic networking platforms (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Google Scholar, and LinkedIn).

  • Attribution Requirements:

    For any self-archived materials, authors must:

    • Provide full bibliographic citation acknowledging the initial publication in Jurnal Farmasi Indonesia;

    • Include an active web link pointing directly to the original article on the journal's official website;

    • Clearly cite the official DOI (Digital Object Identifier) assigned to the publication.
